Tuition Programs & Resources
Many institutions in the Jewish community care about making the Jewish camping experience accessible and available to as many families as possible. Financial aid and scholarships are available from many different resources including synagogues, local Federations, private funders, and the Cohen Camps.
The following are some of the sources for financial assistance for first-time campers and all camp families. You are also welcome to call the office at 781.489.2070 to ask for other resources.
First-Time Camper Welcome Grants & Options
All new Cohen Camps campers automatically enjoy a special welcome: $250 off First or Second Session or $500 off the Full Season.
In addition, you may wish to explore the Foundation for Jewish Camp (FJC) One Happy Camper (OHC) program, which provides grants for many first-time campers. Eligibility and grant amounts are determined by your local sponsoring organization in coordination with FJC. Please apply for your One Happy Camper grant directly and let us know when you are approved.
Also, the following Federations have their own OHC programs and have supported Cohen Camps campers in the past:

Many of these organizations listed above also provide needs-based financial aid to help families pay for camp.
Cohen Camps Sibling Discount
Keep camp in the family! Enroll multiple children at this camp – or at any of the three Cohen Camps (Tel Noar, Tevya and Pembroke) – and save. Your first camper attends at regular tuition, and all your additional campers receive a reduced rate: $200 off one session or $350 off the full season. Please note: only one discount per child, so first-time siblings will receive the higher First-Time Camper Welcome Grant, and then the Sibling Discount when applicable in subsequent years.
Priority Registration
As a returning camper, you can sign up in the fall before we open enrollment to new families. The deadline is FIRM, so please apply quickly!
Cohen Camps Cash-or-Check Discount
Families who complete the application process and pay their tuition in full by cash, eCheck, or mailed check no later than the date indicated above (see chart) will receive an additional discount towards the tuition of each camper.
Refer a Friend and get a $150 Thank You
Invite your friends to join the Cohen Camps family. They’ll get a First-Time Camper Grant – and you’ll get a $150 Referral Thank You at the end of the camp session! All current and past families and alumni (not staff) are eligible. Refer a Friend here.
Cohen Camps Financial Aid
The Cohen Camps offer partial scholarships to families based on financial need. We believe that the Jewish summer camp experience should be available for every Jewish child, regardless of ability to pay. We allocate tuition assistance using a fee scale based on family size, income, and expenses, and require a current tax return. Families must reapply for assistance each year.
Please contact the Cohen Camps office at 781.489.2070 for information, forms, requirements and deadlines.
