Camp Tevya, a Cohen Camp, is currently hiring staff for the summer of 2020. Camp Tevya offers room, board, competitive compensation, workers’ compensation, and the opportunity to spend a fantastic summer with terrific campers and outstanding staff members from around the world. Camp Nurse provides first aid care for campers and staff; attending to routine illnesses, injuries and emergencies as one of several nurses on staff. Responsibilities include overseeing the administration of medications to campers and staff, communications with parents about their children, scheduling visits with physicians and outside health care professionals as needed, monitoring overall camp health standards, and maintaining appropriate camp medical records. Nurse works as part of the Health Center team reporting to the Lead Nurse. Position runs for 8-weeks, beginning with Staff Orientation Week.

Camp Photographer documents the camp experience in pictures. We post hundreds of pictures daily for parents to view privately on CampMinder, and a few social media posts a week. Opportunity to manage the Photography department, which consists of digital and black and white photography electives and managing a staff of 3-4 counselors. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree preferred, experience with digital photography a must, and black and white photography development is a plus. 

Tsofot Head Counselor (7th-8th grade girls) leads bunk life including camper community building, staff supervision/evaluation, and communicate with parents/guardians. Manage a group of up to 16 counselors and 50-60 campers. Requirements: 3+ years’ camp experience Bachelor’s degree.

Head of Arts and Crafts coordinates the arts and crafts department, which consists of a mix of engaging bunk activities and creative electives (ceramics, jazzy jewelry, rocketry, woodworking, drawing and painting). Manage a staff of 5-8 counselors. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Head of Jewish Life and Learning coordinates Jewish cultural program, preparation and facilitation of discussion sessions on Jewish culture, values and, Israel, conducts Shabbat services. Manage a staff of 3-5 counselors. Requirements: 3 years + Judaica/Hebrew school instruction, strong Hebrew reading and speaking skills (conversational skills not required). Bachelor’s degree or current Rabbinical or Cantorial student. 

Head of Outdoor Life coordinates the outdoor living and learning program (camp craft/nature, camping, animal care, hiking program, and respect for the environment). Manage a staff of 4-6 counselors. Requirements: 3 years experiences as head of camp craft/nature or outdoor living program preferred. Bachelor’s degree preferred. 

Head of Performing Arts coordinates the performing arts department, which includes a mix of bunk activities and electives and a play or musical production for the whole camp at the end of each camp session. Manage a staff of 3-5 counselors. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Boat Drivers drive boats for waterskiing activities for campers. Hour compensation available. Requirements: NH Commercial Boating license (or ability to get one), experience driving boats and pulling waterskiers, wakeboarders, and kneeboarders.

Bunk/Specialty Counselors live in a bunk with 10-16 campers and 2-3 other counselors and also contribute to a specific department area.
